Elfhunter Book Series

The Elfhunter trilogy is set in the world of Alterra, which was created by the multi-award winning author C.S. Marks. A true Renaissance woman, C.S. Marks life experiences includes many real life experiences. She is a professor of equiline science and crafts historically accurate bows and arrows with primative hand tools, as she was taught to do by a master bower. She is a talented filk singer. (For the uninitiated, Filk is a folk singing genre devoted to whimsical tunes about sci-fi and fantasy topics.)

This fantasy series spanning Elfhunter, Fire-Heart, and Ravenshade, recounters the adventures of a pair of wood-elves dedicate to hunting down and destroying the Elfhunter, slayer of elves. In this quest to despatch the elf slayer, the two wood-elves are joined by several other characters that include a dwarf, a high elf, and some humans, who lend their abilities to fulfill the task.

While Alterra has been compared to Middle Earth, it is a well crafted setting, full of believable characters and ecologies, sure to hold the reader's interest.
